Development Update 06.06–06.20

Here’s our progress over the last two weeks concerning the work done by our developers in all of our technical fronts — Software Defined Network (SDN), NOIA Network Software and NOIA Cache.

Work on Software Defined Network (SDN)

NOIA Network Backbone:

- Prepared new network backbone by using 4 providers with EU/USA locations. It will be used for DEV environment with the software on top of it.

- Preparing Demo network backbone for demo purpose. Demo is using SRv6 VPP scripts in order to change steering packages paths and Grafana/EsaticSearch (with Kibana on top) to show the demo results.

NOIA Network Software updates:

- NOIA Network BI — working on proactive service to recalculate paths by itself and additionally calculate alternative paths.

- NOIA Network Controller — created Geolocation of the servers for NOIA Controller UI.

- NOIA Network Agent — preparing deployment and building scripts for software in order to make it fully automated.

- NOIA network Controller UI — create network backbone topology view on the world map.

Work on NOIA Cache:

- Working on gathering more statistics from NOIA Cache Nodes in order to understand what kind of hardware Nodes are using.

- Working on SDK Fallback for Video players improvements.
